I won't explain here because it's long winded, but I'm sure there's some good tutorials on line.Nicole Needleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02609762787674447692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136019509269851382.post-85185744161115741482016-05-15T12:46:47.852+01:002016-05-15T12:46:47.852+01:00Thank you, sir! I saw the same thing on a dress on pinterest, and plan to use it on something - I just don't know what yet. The jacket mods are great, especially the zip pockets. Were they easier to sew than welt pockets, because welt pockets give me hives!!Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01891063381064955827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136019509269851382.post-80913271747131159402016-05-15T08:25:58.106+01:002016-05-15T08:25:58.106+01:00I am just swooning at these two garments. Of course, the fashion fabric could just be softer. Do you think cutting the fabric on the bias made much of a difference?

To my eye, the faces on the envelope look 1930s, but the shoulders look 40s. I wonder if this is a late 30s illustration (my eye is untrained, so I could be all wet).

Off topic, I like the pocket flaps on your trousers. I'm always mulling over the look of back pockets or not, welt versus patch pockets, and the proportions of things back there. Your pocket flaps break up the volume of the high hip without drawing attention to or detracting from the volume of the low hip. I'm going to have to try back pocket flaps.

teaweedAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
